I have loved music for as long as I can remember. Music has always been an integral part of my life and I am grateful for every single second of joy and fulfillment I have got from playing. We are a race of musicians. The passion for music has been flowing in the veins of the gypsies for generations and it continues to delight listeners with its carachteristic intensity and warmth of heart. I was initiated as a kid into the mistic of the gypsy music and I have been its admirer and servant ever since. Mario Triska.
The TRISKA-Ensemle is well know both in Germany and abroad for its varied repertoire of gypsy songs from the East of Europe ( Hungary, Romania, Russia, ex-Yugoslavia) as well as for West-European ones ( vienese valses, French vals Musettes, tangos and gypsy swing in the traditions of the legendary Hotclub de France around the gypsy guitarrist Django Reinhardt).
The TRISKA-Ensemle was founded in 1999 and it rapidly cemented a reputation of being an excellent gypsy musical group with appearences at numerous TV shows, and radio and festival performances in Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Denmark and Poland. Witness of their success are the cd's "Around the world" and "The soul of slavian gypsies" (together with the singer Kerstin Katjusha Kozubek, from Berlin).
Their lirical and heart-warming interpretations of authentic gypsy songs are simply unforgettable.
